CBA Saskatchewan is pleased to announce its 2026–27 President and Board of Directors, effective September 1, 2026.
Angela Stolz Begins Her Term as President
This year, CBA Saskatchewan welcomes Angela Stolz as its new Branch President for the 2026–27 term. She succeeds Jessie Buydens, K.C., who served with distinction over the past year.
Angela is a Partner at McDougall Gauley LLP, where she maintains a civil litigation practice focused primarily on construction litigation and environmental law.
Born and raised in Regina, Angela has deep roots in the province. She received her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology from the University of Regina in 2002 and attended law school at the University of Alberta, graduating with Distinction in 2008. After completing her articling term with a national firm in Vancouver, she returned home to Saskatchewan in 2010 and joined McDougall Gauley LLP, becoming a Partner in 2018. She is actively engaged in the firm's internal committees and has served as an articling principal.
Angela has been involved with the CBA for as long as she has practiced law in Saskatchewan. Since 2016, she has served as Vice-Chair and then Chair of the Environment and Resources Law Section, as well as the Section's Legislation and Law Reform Representative. She has presented at numerous Section lunches, helped plan and deliver the 2016 National Energy and Environmental Resources Law Section Annual Conference in St. John's, and presented at the 2018 National Conference in Winnipeg.
Asked what excites her most about the role, Angela pointed to the breadth of the branch's membership:
"The Saskatchewan branch of the CBA is home to a talented, diverse, hardworking and community-oriented group of legal professionals. I am most excited for the opportunity to connect with and learn how to better support the profession from the wide variety of perspectives among our membership."
On the message she wants to share with members as her term begins:
"Over my many years of involvement with the CBA, I am grateful to have met some of the most talented and brilliant minds in the legal profession. Through the various roles I have had, I have had the opportunity to learn from, and forge friendships with, many of the members of the CBA, and have been challenged in ways that continue to expand my knowledge in the profession. Over the course of my term, I am looking forward to meeting many more of you and am very excited for the opportunity to serve our community by continuing to build an organization that provides opportunities for and addresses the evolving needs of our membership."

CBA Saskatchewan extends its heartfelt thanks to Mark Dolan, K.C., outgoing Past President, for four years of dedicated service to the Board.
As the new membership year begins, CBA Saskatchewan looks forward to an exceptional year ahead: the Mid-Winter Conference in Saskatoon, outstanding professional development programming from our sections, and some very exciting developments in our partnership with the College of Law.
